Raluca Vulcan (painter)

Biography

An early drawer, but promised by her parents to a medical career, Raluca Vulcan leaves Romania at 19 to follow an artistic education in France. She starts by working in the video game industry, before to leave the business world to commit to painting.

Artistic approach

Raluca Vulcan thrives in painting nudes and portraits. Her "flowery women", full of spontaneity, embody the sensuality of relaxation, of calm, of selfabnegation. Her drawings are highlighted by colored spots which embellish bodies, changing without disguising them imperfections into assets.
